T-SHIRT STYLING WORRIES? THE V-NECK CREW NECK DILEMMA

T-SHIRT STYLING WORRIES? THE V-NECK CREW NECK DILEMMA

plain, short sleeved t-shirt is super comfortable, timeless, and everyone wears them.

T-shirts are a major staple of men’s fashion these days, coming in a variety of colors, patterns and styles, when they first appeared as a piece of men’s clothing they were used as an under t-shirt only. Today a great fashion must have in every wardrobe.

Every man owns at least one if not 10 of them for sure. Whether worn effortlessly with jeans or layered under a blazer, you can style it in many ways.

Types of T-Shirts for Men

T-shirts are a light weight shirt without buttons, with short sleeves and no collar often made of cotton. Here are a few varieties of style design for the guys. Let’s check the two different types of t-shirts:

CREW NECK T-SHIRTS

A crew neck t-shirt - a variation of the classic t-shirt which has a round, collarless neckline. Although there are many other style t-shirts, crew necks have been around for over a century, maintaining a classic and simple style. It is possibly the most common neckline that you’ll see on a t-shirt, regardless of whether it’s being worn by a man or a woman. Almost everyone has a crew neck t-shirt in their closet. They are great base items for layering or worn on their own.

V-NECK T-SHIRTS

V-neck t-shirts are staples in any closet. The V-neck is a great shape for men and can help balance out wider face types and the shape does do a great job of framing your face. They are versatile and comfortable, and work well as layering pieces during cold weather.  A classic V-neck t-shirt can balance between smart casual and business casuals. Pair it up with your blazer and smart trousers as an alternative to a shirt or wear simply with casual bottoms.

THE DILEMMA CHOICE

Between the two it all depends on the preference of one's choice. Some people are adamant about their love or hate for one of the necks. But if one does not have a preference, it is suggested to get one set of each.

As per which ones should get, there are few points you to consider:

  1. If one has a longer neck, go with crew necks. A v-neck would visually lengthen the neck and make it look longer. Unless one can find shorter v-necks with a shorter “v”.
  2. If one has a shorter neck, they should go with a v-necks. Great choice to get a taller physique look.
  3. For the regular neck size, the t-shirt world is the oyster and one can have whatever they want!
